The Forget Me Not Project: Building Dementia-Friendly Communities, One Step at a Time

As Malaysia moves towards becoming an aged nation, the number of individuals living with dementia is expected to rise significantly over the coming decades. While medical care continues to advance, creating communities that understand, support and empower people living with dementia is equally important.

Recognising this growing need, PPB Properties launched The Forget Me Not Project, a long-term community initiative jointly developed by the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation Malaysia (ADFM).

The initiative aims to make Megah Rise Mall a more welcoming, inclusive and dementia-friendly space for persons living with dementia, their caregivers and the wider community.

Named after the delicate Forget-Me-Not flower, a globally recognised symbol of dementia awareness, the project represents remembrance, compassion and the promise that no one should face dementia alone. It reflects PPB Properties’ commitment to creating places that not only serve communities today but continue to support them through every stage of life.
