How it all began…
1982
PPB Properties began life in 1982 with Taman Segar in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. Its pioneer properties here include Segar Court and Segar Apartments.
1984
The company acquired 34% interest in Shaw Brothers (M) Sdn Bhd which owns properties in various towns across Malaysia including Shaw Parade in Pudu, Shaw Centrepoint in Klang and the former Lido Cinema in Brickfields.
1987
The 8-storey commercial building, Cheras Plaza was completed and through the years has housed various commercial entities including the first Chujitsu Superstore in Malaysia.
1994
Cheras LeisureMall opened its doors in 1994 as the biggest neighbourhood mall in the area with over 30 F&B businesses located within its premise.
2006
Masera Bukit Segar was completed in 2006. The low-density gated neighbourhood with only 38 units of bungalows was regarded as one of the most premium addresses in Cheras.
2008
New World Park was officially launched in January 2008. A foodie landmark in Penang, the avenue commemorates the rich history of the place fondly known as Sin Seh Kai back in the days.
2009
PPB Properties’ first fully residential development in Penang, Taman Tanah Aman was launched in Bukit Mertajam.
2011
A century-old colonial building, The Whiteaways Arcade was restored and revived following the listing of George Town as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
2015
The launch of Southern Marina Residences, twin residential towers that rise majestically in the peaceful cove of Puteri Harbour, Johor. The project is a joint venture between PPB Group Berhad, Kuok Brothers Sdn Bhd and Khazanah Nasional Berhad.
2018
The opening of The LINC KL, a one-of-a-kind mall managed by PPB Properties that offers shoppers a green and holistic retail experience.
2022
Megah Rise at Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya marks PPB Properties’ entry into the mature property market in the area. The mixed development comprises Megah Rise Residency which rises majestically above the retail podium, Megah Rise Mall.
